WHAT WE DO

If you’re a batsman wanting to hit the ball farther and harder or you’re looking to be that feared fast bowler everyone dreads to face. We have the answers for you.

We provide strength and conditioning programmes for cricket players who are looking to reach their full potential. Whether you are a batsman or a bowler, we have programmes that are built specifically for you.

If you’re new to the gym or have questions regarding your technique with the movements, we give you access to one of our coaches to feel comfortable in the gym and progress to your goals.

  • Strength Program

    This program is purely focused on getting you strong. Getting strong is your base to becoming a powerful cricket player and this program will guide you to get there.

  • conditioning PROGRAM

    This program is purely focused on getting you fit, you'll be spending a lot of time running and on ergs working towards your goal.

  • Bodyweight PRogram

    If you don't have access to any equipment or are just starting out on your strength and conditioning journey, this is a great place to start. Bodyweight plans are sometimes seen as easy but we incorporate techniques to give you a tough challenge

  • in season program

    We reduce the volume of your training during the season as you'll be training in between games. Most of our training will be based on your strength and power due to you getting your conditioning stimulus from your game.

  • LOOK GOOD, PLAY GOOD

    A hypertrophy program aimed at gaining as much muscle as possible. Each week will be 4 gym sessions and 1 conditioning session

  • off season program

    In the off-season we mainly focus on getting stronger and becoming more powerful. We go through a 5 week block focusing purely on strength and then 5 weeks introducing our speed-based movements to develop your power.

  • PRESEASON PROGRAM

    In your preseason we introduce more conditioning to bring your fitness levels up as the cricket season approaches. We still keep your power sessions in to keep progressing our work from the off-season.

Nutrition comes hand in hand with making progress in the gym and supporting your performance. This is why, with every programme you purchase at Proteus, you will receive a guide for your nutrition whether your goal is to lose or gain weight. These are filled with the fundamentals that I used to gain 20kg.

EVERYONE has been in the situation of going into the gym for the first time and having that voice in your head questioning whether you’re doing anything correctly and everyone is looking at you wondering why you are there. For me, having someone with you to ask questions and give you tips on your technique is key to making you feel comfortable in the gym. We realise that not everyone has this, so we have an email support line where you can send messages about our programmes or any questions regarding your technique so that you can make as much progress in the gym as possible.
